For Students
Advancing Medical Education: Internationalization, Innovation, and Academic Success
Students at the Heart of ECCES 2026
ECCES 2026 is an international conference on medical education, internationalization, innovation, and academic success – with students at its heart. Across the conference themes, the student perspective remains central: learning, student life, wellbeing, belonging, academic success, international opportunities, and preparation for future professional practice.
Students are not simply attendees. During ECCES 2026, they are also hosts, active participants, contributors, and, in selected sessions, facilitators and discussion leaders, helping shape the conference experience alongside educators, clinicians, and international experts.

Global Mobility, International Opportunities & Partnerships
International education, mobility opportunities, global partnerships, and meaningful engagement in an increasingly international learning environment.
Student Support, Belonging & Academic Success
How universities can help students feel supported, connected, included, and able to succeed academically.
Student Experience, Wellbeing & Support
Student wellbeing, the learning environment, support systems, and the realities of student life in medical education.
Academic Integrity, Professionalism & Responsible Use of AI
Join an interactive student workshop exploring academic integrity, professional responsibility, and the opportunities and challenges created by the growing use of artificial intelligence in medical education.
The format emphasizes discussion, participation, and practical reflection rather than passive listening.
Meet International Speakers and Experts
ECCES 2026 brings together international leaders in medical education, healthcare, internationalization, student support, and academic development. Throughout the conference, students will have opportunities to meet speakers, ask questions, exchange ideas, and build connections with experienced educators, clinicians, academic leaders, and peers from different institutions and countries.
Be Part of the Conversation
Students will participate alongside faculty and academic leaders in discussions addressing major questions in contemporary medical education. A key conference discussion, “International Student Support & Academic Success: Beyond Recruitment,” will examine how universities can move beyond attracting international students and create environments in which students can genuinely belong, develop, and succeed. Student perspectives are an essential part of that conversation.
Interactive Workshops and Selected Clinical Learning Opportunities
The wider ECCES 2026 programme includes interactive workshops and selected clinical learning opportunities led by international and Georgian faculty. These formats emphasize discussion, teamwork, case-based learning, reflection, communication, and practical application. Access may depend on the focus and capacity of individual sessions.
Present, Discuss and Be Recognised
ECCES 2026 creates opportunities for students to contribute their academic work, ideas, and perspectives within an international conference environment. Student contributions are integrated into the wider scientific and educational programme, including poster activities and opportunities for interaction with faculty, experts, and peers. The programme also includes Hackathon, Poster, and Student Recognition awards.
Students as Hosts and Conference Contributors
A distinctive feature of ECCES 2026 is that students are involved not only as participants, but also in creating the conference experience itself. Students will welcome and engage with participants, contribute to conference activities, support interaction between international guests and the student community, and take active roles in selected sessions.
ECCES 2026 is not simply a conference for students – it is a conference with students.
Learn. Connect. Contribute. Speak Up.
Whether your interests are in clinical medicine, medical education, international opportunities, innovation, student leadership, wellbeing, or future professional development, ECCES 2026 gives you the opportunity to learn from international experts, meet new people, contribute your perspective, and make your voice heard.
